Our Chapter Meeting Focus

With the New Year comes new challenges and new opportunities.

But don't let that scare you! Our first meeting of the year will focus on setting goals, brainstorming for new ideas and writing down our action items. It is time to take charge and focus on the positive.

We will be meeting with Amy Lawrence, owner of An Afternoon to Remember Tea House, who will discuss what it is like to be a business owner in this type of economy. We will also focus on personal goals and what you need to do with your personal finances.

Come and enjoy the great teas and scones that the tea house has to offer and start 2009 off right!

About Us

Hi Everyone,

We just wanted to take a moment to invite all of you to this exciting event. We strongly believe in supporting other women in reaching their potential and decided one way to do that was to put on this event. So this first time Conference, "Women on the Move: Live, Learn, Inspire", is our way of offering women practical and useful information to assist them in being self-reliant and successful in their lives.

A little bit about us:

I’m Lisa Marston and I have worked a variety of fields, but had not found anything that excited me, i.e., made me want to get up in the morning. About 10 years ago I read Rich Dad Poor Dad and started learning about real estate investing. I had finally found my passion and started investing in real estate. A few years ago I started The Foresthill Group, Inc. and the mission of my company is to offer a complete real estate investor package. We are committed to finding ideal opportunities for the investor and making the process as simple as possible.

Growing up my Mom taught me about service organizations and how important it was to give back to your community and help others. I was always supported in whatever I wanted to take on and there was never a mention of that not being a “female thing” or something “women didn't do”. With that in mind I mentioned to her about putting on an event that was truly about educating women. I was so excited that she wanted to join me in putting on this Conference, she brought great ideas and enthusiasm, which will help make this a successful event.

I’m Judy Marston and what a great opportunity I’ve been handed to work with my daughter on this incredible idea. I spent many years in the corporate world learning the challenges of running a business and working with diverse groups of people. From that knowledge I started my own company, Singular Focus, doing qualitative market research, strategic planning, outcome evaluation and facilitated problem solving. Throughout my working life I’ve been committed to helping other women by belonging to service organizations that focus on getting women out of poverty, self-sufficient and successful. This Conference offers women so much practical information presented by successful entrepreneurial individuals that I can’t wait for all of you to be a part of this event.

Over the years we have met an amazing group of women who have been mentors, supporters and friends. This dynamic group of women have been behind us 110% and this Conference would not be happening without their contributions and support. So join us and all the other amazing women participating in this Conference to Live, Learn and Inspire!
